About the store

Experience

17+ years as an elementary school librarian. I spent my first three years in the classroom teaching second and third grades and then was fortunate enough to become the librarian at my PK-8 school. I absolutely LOVE my job!

Teaching style

Reading is my passion and I work very hard to inspire a love of reading in every student who comes through the library door. We do a lot of group activities, we're always moving around, talking and sharing books with each other while we're learning, but I ALWAYS save time to JUST READ!

Awards & shining teacher moments

Nothing "official", but making the library a fun place that students want to visit is the best honor!

My own education history

BA English, Elementary Education Certification, Library Science Certification, Middle School ELA Certification

Additional biographical information

I love attending conferences and workshops, following other amazing educators and authors on social media, and growing my PLN. Learning, growing and connecting with other educators helps me to inspire and encourage my students.
