Math teachers in North Carolina of grades 5-8 are required to teach their students how to express their answers in open- or gridded responses boxes for their End-of-Grade tests. This activity helps students to not only practice their skills at dividing by one-digit numbers but to also practice how to enter answers in the gridded-response boxes.
Can be used for any other state, too, but is geared toward North Carolina. Enjoy!
Perfect for letting primary students practice their number knowledge skills as well assisting you, the teacher, in determining if they, indeed, understand the order of numbers.
The last section is a review section from a previous assignment and continues the ordering of numbers.
Looking for a creative way to reinforce the concepts of "equivalent fractions" and "benchmark fractions"? Dominoes are a great way to represent fractions! This sheet combines writing equivalent fractions with determining benchmark fractions, such as "closer to zero", "closer to 1/2", or closer to one.
My students have enjoyed working on this assignment; hope yours do, too!
