Bunny Hop Statistical Data: Spring or Easter Math Activity
Get your students up and moving with kinesthetic learning! This activity is perfect for the day before Spring Break!
Break your students up into groups. Each group member will jump twice and the whole group will record all the data. The group will then find statistical landmarks for the:
*Minimum
*Maximum
*Mean
*Median
*Mode
Then, each student in the class takes their farthest jump and shares while the whole class records the data. They will then find the statistical landmarks for the class.

Experience

Teaching style
I like to keep procedures and lessons structured, but always keep in mind that flexibility is important. You just never know when creativity, a new great idea, an interesting conversation, or a need for some research will present itself!

BA in Communications Writing; MA in teaching.
Additional biographical information
Outside the classroom, I am passionate about animal rescue, and often volunteer for a local rescue group in my area.
I also love the beach in all seasons, am always in the middle of reading a book, and can often be seen in my neighborhood walking my two dogs. My husband is a very patient and understanding man, who encourages all the time I spend on teaching preparation and animal rescue. I'm lucky to have him!
