I have been a passionate special education teacher for four years, specializing in supporting students with mild, moderate, severe, and profound disabilities. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a paraprofessional and as an in-home care aide for children with disabilities. Social Bubbles Bundle
Here is a whole group presentation along with a student workbook that teaches social boundaries. The product is fully editable. I like to use pictures of myself in the presentation and have students work along with me in their workbook using pictures of themselves and people in their lives. I did include but visuals for ease. This is a great resource for teaching individuals with disabilities appropriate boundaries based on their relationship with others.

I like to have students bring in pictures of themselves and people in their lives to glue in but they can also draw, write, or use PECS! The product is fully editable. Cat Behavior Reward System
I created this Cat reward system to help manage behavior in the classroom. This is completely editable, so you can change the size to make the poster as large or small as you want. Print it out, laminate it, cut out the buttons, and use velcro to add the buttons to the poster, moving toward a reward.

Number Quantity Match
A number quantity matching activity that has both color-matching and non-color matching to better scaffold the activity. Dots are organized in a ten-frame to allow for continuity across the general education and special education setting. Just print, cut out, and velcro.

Choice Cards
I created choice cards in a variety of colors for use with individual students. This is a completely editable powerpoint file so you can change the colors, name, or layout if you wish. I primarily use this as a printout that I laminate and use velcro to easily switch out choices. This allows teachers, paras, and the student to understand what choices are available. Perfect for younger grades and students with exceptionalities. I have included an example of a card filled out with different choice

Pete The Cat Behavior Card
I created a Cat-themed behavior card. This is completely editable so you can add behaviors that align with specific goals. You can also print off the blank copy and use velcro to easily switch out target behaviors. This allows teachers, paras, and the student to monitor behavior. It will also work well used with the Cat Behavior Reward System I created. Perfect for younger grades and students with exceptionalities. I have included an example of a card filled out with specific behaviors.

Teaching style
I strive to create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment where all students can thrive. My teaching style blends structure with creativity, using differentiated instruction, hands-on activities, and positive reinforcement to meet each student’s unique needs. I am neurodiversity-affirming and believe my students are perfect just as they are. My goal is never to change them but to help them learn and grow into the best versions of themselves. I celebrate every milestone, big or small, and build strong relationships with my students to ensure they feel seen, valued, and empowered.
Awards & shining teacher moments
I was nominated for Rookie Teacher of the Year and have been recognized for my dedication to inclusion, disability advocacy, and cultivating a positive classroom culture. Watching my students grow and succeed has been the greatest reward, and I am honored to be part of their educational journeys.
My own education history
In college, I graduated Magna Cum Laude and was one of seven recipients of the prestigious Presidential Scholar Award, recognizing my academic excellence, dedication to community service, and contributions to multicultural programs. I consistently earned spots on the President’s List, Dean’s List, and Honor Roll each quarter. I was also a two-time recipient of the Departmental Scholar Award for my achievements as a future special educator.
Even before college, I valued connection and kindness, receiving the Friendship Award in 8th grade for being a good friend to all. These experiences shaped my philosophy as a teacher, emphasizing inclusion, kindness, and the importance of celebrating everyone’s unique strengths.
Additional biographical information
Outside of teaching, I enjoy paddleboarding, cooking, houseplants, and spending time with my dog. I’m always seeking ways to grow as an educator and make a positive impact in the lives of my students.
