This is a book approved by my second grade class. This booklet has helped many see where they get stuck and start making mistakes, and it helps me as the teacher help them fix those mistakes. They loved the booklet and were engaged throughout the lesson. They actually wanted more problems to solve. This is a great way to assess the students understanding of Polygons. This idea was taken from Margaret Brown's The Important Book. The book is typed up for the students and they only have to put in the important information for each shape.

Project Based experience for students and their families. Students are posed with a problem of having to start up their own business by creating a product to sell and a business plan. They then create an item multiple times to "sell" during Shopping Day. We did this with fake money, but parents suggested having Shopping Day with real money to raise funds for our grade level.
