This course expectations sheet goes beyond the boring list of what to expect in class. You can enter your own information and also tweak with the information that is essential for your class. I am excited to give this to my students this year; such an upgrade from what I was giving them in the past, even though it is the same information.

This manipulative is a MUST HAVE for those students learning the order of operations or those that struggle with them. As they add steps in completing the order of operations, they get confused on the order in which to complete the simplification. This manipulative should be placed directly above the line that needs to be simplified. This mixed review should be used after students know how to solve simple logarithms and trigonometry using a special right triangle. Quadratics and linear equations with fractional coeffiecients are aded to allow students to continue to improve those skills.

Do you have your students working in teams? They need to understand how to cooperatively work in teams and this plan takes 5 - 10 minutes out of 3 days in order for your class to come up with the team norms. It adds a literacy piece because they need to write about their expectation. Good activity to do at the start of the school year or when your teams need to remember what makes a team an effective team.
