Teaching style
While my focus is to differentiate instruction and to challenge and support all levels in reading and writing (and speaking and listening), I promote and incorporate social emotional learning (SEL) as well. I am all about teaching the whole student.
Awards & shining teacher moments
At the end of my first year teaching 8th grade ELA, I received an award from my school nominated by the students.
My own education history
I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with my bachelor's degree in English and Secondary Education. I recently earned my endorsement in ESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) through the University of St. Francis as well.
