This is a simplified rubric for students to use for peer-editing of writing. I also specified the use of Tier 2 and Tier 3 words and the use of explicit and inferential evidence(CCSS RI.6.1, RI.7.1, and RI 8.1). Likewise, I included a simpler version of Tier 2 words in parenthesis.

This is an editable worksheet for an Interactive Notebook (input/learning) section. Simply have students work on a literary piece and practice citing evidence. Students will then need to complete a reflection activity (output activity). If you want to learn more about Interactive Notebooks, please see my "items".

This is a rubric with 7 writing criterion that allows the teacher to edit to fit his/her individual essay requirements for each "point" section.

7th Grade CCSS that are saved in .docx, so they are easily edited to fit your needs. Each section (Literature, Informational Text, Speaking and Listening, etc) is color coded. Great resource to create larger posters or to simply print out and laminate.

This is a peer grading rubric (teacher's final grade required) that allows students to analyze the work of their peers and, in turn, reflect on their own entries. This also allows for students to earn extra credit if they share their work with their parents.

Go APE is an acronym for Answer, Prove, and Extend/End for extended response answers.
