Use this poster in your classroom to remind your students about how to use evidence from the text to answer a reading question. I use this poster daily after silent reading. How to use it in the classroom: I post a question and students have to quickly respond about a section of the book they read using one of these starters.

When children are learning how to read sometimes they have difficulty blending sounds together. Once you teach children how to follow the arrows, students can independently practice reading the words. To check for assessment of blending, students read each word and then draw a picture in the middle of the circle to represent the word they have read. This product was extremely helpful with one of my students who was struggling with blending sounds together. Enjoy!
