Theoretical and Experimental Probability - Rolling 2 Dice Activity
This would be a great introduction to the difference between experimental probability and theoretical probability. This can be completed before learning probability specific vocabulary; such as sample space. They begin by gathering information from a 'sample space' of theoretical outcomes and filling out a table where they list ratios, probabilities, and percentages. This chart is great to use as a simple way for students to summarize all of the different relationships of angles formed when parallel lines are cut by a transversal. There is space for you to write the words "congruent" or "supplementary." Distributive Property Partner Practice Worksheet (Distribution/Distributing)
Copy this worksheet and cut in half (or have students cut it in half and give one half to their partner). Both partners have their own unique problems to work on. However, all of their answers will be the same for each respective number. This promotes communication and math talk. It is also a way for them to check their answers without having to go over them in the front of the class. Students love these!

Graphing Linear Equations Using a Table Foldable (guided notes)
This foldable is great for interactive notebooks and/or guided notes. It goes through three examples of graphing linear equations using a table. There is also helpful information, reminders, and directions for how to do this on the inside of the foldable. Copy 2 sided. The students will fold 'hamburger' style and cut on the 2 lines on the cover to make 3 flaps.

There are 12 problems included on this worksheet. The students will begin solving in the top, left box. The answer will be in a different box. They will then solve that problem. Slope intercept form MATCHING activity graphs and equations
Included are 10 graphs and 10 equations. Students can cut them all apart and match each graph with its corresponding equation. This is a great interactive notebook activity. Graphs are numbered and equations are lettered, so it's easy to read through the correct matches or quickly check them as you move around the room. This is a great follow up to any activity where students discover slope intercept form for themselves.

This is a self checking circuit worksheet. The students will begin in the top left box and solve that problem. The answer will appear in a different box, then they will solve that problem. Ratio Boxes Guided Notes & Worksheet (Ratio and proportions word problems)
Ratio boxes are a visual way for students to set up their proportions when solving story problems. Their goal is to complete 2 rows inside of the ratio box, and then use those two rows to set up their proportion. Once their proportion is set up, they can use the cross product property (cross multiply) and solve it. These are very helpful for varied learning levels. These guided notes slowly remove the ratio boxes and force the students to draw their own.

Investigation! Parallel lines cut by transversals
Students will follow this simple investigation using patty paper to learn about the properties of parallel lines cut by transversals. The worksheet walks them through the process. You will need to give them the specific vocabulary for what the relationships are, however, they get to see how and why angles are congruent or supplementary. Graphing 2 Variable Inequalities Matching Activity Interactive Notebook
Included in this matching activity is 10 graphs and 10 inequalities. Students must match each inequality to its graph. This is a great interactive notebook activity. Simplifying Radicals Tarsia Puzzles Activities
No prep required for this activity! Print and go! Tarsia puzzles are engaging and challenging activities for most learners! Most of my students enjoy them! These radicals are all square roots. They will cut out each triangle, simplify the radicals that can be simplified, and then match the original radical to its simplified version. When they are finished, the puzzle shape will look like it did before they cut the triangles apart. I created a version with variables and a version without.

Angle Pair Relationships Color Coded Pics and Chart

I am in my 17th year of teaching. I have been in a high school the entire time. I have taught almost every different mathematics subject at many different learning levels.
Teaching style
I have used interactive notebooks for about 5 years now. Students love having a place for their notes, they enjoy the organization, and they enjoy the 'easy' points when I grade them. I ask a lot of questions during the hour and always give the students time to think. If I will be asking random students for answers, I warn them that it's coming, ask them to write down their answers and check them with their group members, and THEN I randomly ask a student to share their "guess" as I call it (in case they're wrong). I try to keep my students from getting bored. Math isn't exciting for most high school students so I try my best to keep my class light and as fun as I can.
