Weekly Goals
Students can create and record a weekly goal for themselves each week (behavior, work habits, social, academic, etc.) I have students start this each Monday, attached to their weekly homework, and then they return back to reflect before turning in on Friday. This helps kids get in the habit of creating goals and realistic steps to achieving success.

Teaching style
High expectations are above all else. Without those set expectations, students will not know what they are working toward. I like having students work together and learn from one another. It is important to know at the end of the day what each individual student understands and has grasped, but working together in collaboration is a huge life skill for many careers.
