Students roll two die. They count or add them up and subtract whatever the number on the game board says. Whatever answer they get they will cover with a two color counter. One student uses the yellow counter and the other student uses the red counter. If they roll and their answer is already covered they lose a turn. The student to cover the most numbers wins.

Students can practice decomposing numbers from 5-10. They will fill the counting board with cubes, counters, and fish, or what. They then count to see how many they needed and write that number in the box by more. Then they will write the number sentence that tells about the counters. This is great practice to be able to really understand number combinations.
I cut these sheets in half and grouped them by the decomposing number. I put a ring around all the 5’s and 6’s, etc. so that the student
