This is a great unit to help you get started with your literary circles! There are really fantastic resources for literary circles if you search the web, but they were a little overwhelming for me (and my students) not to mention that I'm not made of paper! I use this presentation as I lecture. Students copy down notes in an organized style. **Tip: I always print a copy and keep it in the back of the room for students who write too slowly or can't see the board.

These "Checkmarks" can be used as a bookmark, and are great for students who are reading different books or texts. I usually use them as homework assignments to go with their assigned reading.
