Experience

I've been teaching 28 years, and I've taught French, 1st grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade.

Teaching style

As a teacher for the academically gifted, I strive to challenge my students while nurturing them at the same time.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have not received any "official" honors or awards, but I've received many thoughtful notes and kind words from both my parents and students over the years.

My own education history

Bachelor's degree - University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; Master's degree - Appalachian State University

Additional biographical information

My students are often my "guinea pigs" and help me find errors in my products. After looking at something multiple times, the errors often become invisible to me. My students enjoy editing me, their teacher, and it helps them develop their own proofreading skills. Needless to say, I actually use my products with my own students.
