This assignment is perfect for the coverage of commodities across the US. I provide students with a state outline (I purchased a full set of large state outlines from a seller here on TPT). Student then will research their state and add the required information to their posters. You can have posters created a few different ways but the instructions have students cut out the state outline and paste it on a larger piece of construction paper.

Additional biographical information
I have been teaching for 11 years and I have had extensive training in inquiry based learning. I continue daily to push myself to develop new and innovative ways to incorporate reading and writing into my agriculture classroom. I have hosted numerous student teachers and mentored many others around the state. I have been invited and led numerous state level workshops at state and national conferences.
