PowerPoint High School Algebra CCSS A-SSE Equation
This is an upgrade of my first PowerPoint. It is over 7 minutes long because it includes more student involvement in the problems. It is narrated and animated. Common Core high school Algebra A-SSE. structure in an equation.
It begins with a skill review of multiplying a binomial using the FOIL method and subtracting polynomials. These skills are necessary to do the practice problem which is similar to a PARCC problem. It works out the problem step-by-step and includes an Exit problem for

Teaching style
I like to use a step-by-step approach and keep the terms simple until students display an understanding of the material. I believe Math can be fun and I try to share my enthusiasm with my students. One of my 8th graders once asked me if my mom dropped me on my head when I was little. She figured that was the only way someone would major in Mathematics and actually enjoy the subject. I really enjoy teaching higher Math courses and working with 10th - 12th graders.

B.A. in Mathematics from Washington & Jefferson College in PA. Fortunate to have awesome Math Professors!
Additional biographical information
Love history and genealogy, but I guess they go hand in hand. I was an archivist for a local historical society.
