Experience

I have been in the education field for over 12 years. During that time, I have taught grades five through eight, everything from self-contained primary classrooms to departmentalized middle school classrooms. I also was an instructional coach, mentoring and guiding new teachers into developing skills needed to survive today's classroom.

Teaching style

I believe that the best teachers have a variety of teaching styles. It is not one particular "style" that is best, but rather an eclectic group to choose from depending on the needs of each student. A master teacher does it all, from direct instruction, cooperative learning, discovery, and student-led.
