About the store
Differentiation equals success for all. Not every student learns at the same rate and has the same abilities. Learning can occur at many different levels, and it is vital that all students grow as critical thinkers, problem solvers, and learners. I offer different levels of tasks and assessments to ensure success for all students and make myself available to help in any way possible. I will continue to research and create new and better ways of allowing my students to reach their full potential and am always seeking innovative ways to help students succeed in my classroom. Not only do I want them to be successful, but I want them to enjoy learning along the way.
I model the importance of education by constantly furthering my education as well. I am proud to have earned a marketing degree, an early childhood education degree, a middle grades education degree, a master’s degree in early childhood education, a specialist degree in curriculum and instruction, and my gifted endorsement.

Transformations on the Coordinate Plane Interactive Lesson
This is a 31 page power point with detailed guided notes and examples that can be used in the classroom as a note taking method, differentiation, or resource for classwork. Answers are included and would be a great resource for interactive notebooks! I am really trying to teach my students how to take math notes, and this is a great way to do just that! Tic Tac Toe Integer Problem Solving Interactive Game
This is another interactive Tic Tac Toe game like the Tic Tac Toe Expressions game I have posted EXCEPT this one has 27 problems. In this game, the player has to solve all three problems in the box in order to claim the spot.

This is an interactive tic tac toe game where the students play in partners to translate verbal phrases into algebraic expressions. You could also have the class play in teams using the interactive white board. The kids LOVE this game!

Volume of Pyramids & Cones Interactive Lesson
This is an 21 slide power point lesson that has a couple of links to short video clips that shows the relationship between prisms and pyramids as well as the relationship between cylinders and cones. The power point lesson explains how to calculate the volume of a pyramid and cone. There are basic practice problems as well as problems that have multiple steps. Finally, there are composite shapes to calculate the volume that includes finding volume of cylinders and prisms.

This is a color coded cheat sheet of the coordinate plane and how to plot the x and y coordinates. It is a necessary skill to develop in middle grades math in order to be successful in algebra. This is a great reminder for test prep!

Triangle Theorems Interactive Lesson
This is a 17 slide powerpoint that reviews the angles theorem and triangle inequality theorem (sides). There are triangles with missing angles that students must solve equations to find the missing angles. There is a discovery section that allows students to discover the triangle inequality theorem using Exploragons. You could also use straws. After the discovery, there are practice and application problems. This is great for cooperative learning.

This is a 61 slide powerpoint presentation that goes through the steps for solving equations and provides many practice problems with answers popping in. The problems range from one step to multiple steps. This is a great resource to use as review. You could divide the class into two teams and have one person from each team come up and solve the problem at the board for points while everyone else works the problem at their desk.

This is a 32 slide powerpoint that explains how to find circumference and area of circles. The problems range from basic to quite rigorous! Students are asked to find the area from circumference as well as area and circumference of parts of figures. This is a great cooperative learning activity with rigorous problem solving.

Algebraic Angles Interactive Lesson
This is a 45 slide powerpoint that explains how to find missing angles through solving equations. Angle types in this powerpoint are complementary, supplementary, and vertical. Missing angles of a triangle are also included in this powerpoint. This is a great way to review before a test. The class could be divided into two teams. Each team sends one person to the board to compete for points while the others work the problem at their desks.

Tax, Tip, and Commission Task Cards
These 16 task cards include questions on calculating tax, tip, and commission. Questions range in difficulty from basic percent calculations to more difficult problems such as determining total bill when including tax and tip as well as how much a store needs to sale in order to make a certain percent commission. Teaching style
I use a variety of teaching strategies in my class. Projects, games, and interactive activities are just a few of the strategies I use. DIFFERENTIATION IS KEY!!!!

I taught in elementary and middle schools for 30 years. The last seven years I was instructional lead teacher. More recently, I have gotten certified as a behavior therapist working with autistic children.
This has lead me to write and publish books that I searched for and could not find.
