Starry Bucks is a token economy developed for a Resource Room, inspired by a general education classroom and is utilized in a self-contained classroom for students with emotional disturbances.
A token economy is designed to reward students who choose to follow the rules and demonstrate safe, appropriate behavior. Starry Bucks can be used classroom wide or as a Tier 2 RTI intervention. Using a token economy can encourage desirable behaviors and reduce and/or eliminate undesirable behaviors.

Teaching style
I focus on getting problem behaviors under control through various methods including PBIS. I also help design and implement RTI Tier 2 interventions in the general classrooms.
