Students will cut 21 different types of angles and sort them into one of three categories (acute, right, or obtuse angle). Students will use their right angle template (created during lesson 2) to determine what each angle should be classified as.
Students will solve a riddle, "Why was the obtuse angle sad?". Teachers will display task cards (pages 1-13) around the room. Each student will get page 14 and 15. Page 15 can be used to help the students physically turn each picture based on the directions. Students will then record the letter for their answer on their answer document (page 14). For example, when the students turn the arrow 90 degrees to the left, they should look for that image on their answer document and record the lett
Provide each group or pair with the page 2 answer document. Page 3 cards should be cut out. Students will match the cards in the page 2 answer document. Students should match the prism, dimensions and volume. Students will have to show their work on a separate piece of paper or whiteboard.
