Decoding words with a silent or magic E at the end is an important skill in learning to read. For some students, once they are able to master this skill, they struggle with being able to apply this skill while reading text. These fluency cards gradually help students to move from decoding silent E words to phrases and finally to sentences. Also included is a checklist for teachers to monitor and assess students mastery of each flash card. Great for an observation or literacy center!
