Decoding words with a silent or magic E at the end is an important skill in learning to read. For some students, once they are able to master this skill, they struggle with being able to apply this skill while reading text. These fluency cards gradually help students to move from decoding silent E words to phrases and finally to sentences. Also included is a checklist for teachers to monitor and assess students mastery of each flash card. Great for an observation or literacy center!

One of the activities that helps students learn diphthongs is for them to recognize them, write them down and collect them in one place where they can reread them. This dictionary can be used during and after instruction about diphthongs especially if you are using a decodable text.

Students like to know when they are being taken out of the classroom. I use these tags for putting on the desks of students that are pulled for Tier 3 intervention so they know when I am coming to get them. These cards can also be used for AIS math teachers, speech or OT/PT providers to use as well.

This is a great way to boost the confidence of the readers in your classroom or your home! I put these around a mirror in my classroom and students usually read these affirmations while drying their hands after washing them. I add the affirmations to the mirror based on when we are learning those skills. I have also put these up around the bathroom mirror of my home for my kids.

This Summer Reading Tracker is a fun way for kids to keep track of how many books they have read over the summer. Use this tracker to make a goal of how many books they will read. Then the more books they read, the more objects they get to color. It will motivate them to want to read more books to color as many objects as they can!
