You will become a holiday geometric detective and designer, investigating how congruent triangles and similar triangles appear in many Winter Holiday decorations, traditions, and celebrations around the world. Over the next three weeks, you'll choose a festive structure or design, analyze its geometric properties, and create both a mathematical investigation and a hands-on holiday model or presentation. Students will create a 2D or 3D winter holiday themed product that showcases their knowledge

Students will design, build, and test five different paper airplane models. They will measure the distance each airplane flies, analyze the data, and graph the results to understand the effects of design on the flight performance.
