This is for Spanish 4 classes to get to know each other on the first day. You can have them do the front in pairs. I prefer to have them walk around and have one person per square answer so they have met everyone before it's over.
We all know the AP presentational requirements for persuasive writing. It's time to make it fun with a Letter to Santa! This provides the guidelines and prompt for a well-written AP persuasive writing and makes it fun at the same time.
Sometimes coming up with essay prompts for our AP Spanish classes can be a challenge. I compiled topics from several AP language texts and practice workbooks to give my students as a review before the AP test.
My students LOVE these! These are well-known Spanish speakers, and the students enjoy matching their body part vocabulary with the pictures. I used this as a review for my Spanish 3 class, but it is great for any level. This looks great in color, but these photos also work great for printing in black and white. That's what I did. Enjoy!
This is an excellent resource for you and your Spanish 3 and 4 students. Instead of handing your advanced students a pre-made verb tense guide, have them make their own!! Simply print out an example (our document) and then have the students use it as a guideline for their own folder. What makes this design great? -
- designed for any manila or colored folder
- just glue each page on one side of a folder (4 pages and sides total)
- color coded for easy understanding
- grouped in logical or
This is a great handout for Spanish students at any level. It gives them a visual aid for remembering common classroom vocabulary without English translations. You could even laminate it and they can keep it forever!
Open House can be stressful. What do parents want to know? How do I talk to all of them?
I created this 9 slide Power Point that plays on a continuous loop as parents and students come in and out of my classroom on Meet the Teacher/Open House nights. It gives them some information they might want about me, and more importantly, about our classroom and how it runs. It takes just a couple of minutes to see everything and allows them to find out information without me having to repeat myself
This matching activity creates an easy and pain-free way for students to find a seat on the first day of class. Cut out the pictures and tape one to the top of each desk. Then as students walk in, have them draw a word out of a bowl and have them find the picture that corresponds with their word. Vocabulary is mostly from Spanish 1 and 2, so would work well in levels 2 and 3.
This file is a ready to go lesson with a Cloze Activity based on Shakira's song Inevitable. There is new vocabulary on the back with Spanish definition matching and the chance to use the new vocabulary in a sentence. Students LOVE to listen to and learn music.
Simple, easy to read design for your walls or board. Included are the following words:
qué, cuándo, dónde, adónde de dónde, quién, a quiém de quién, por qué, cómo, cuál, cuántos, cuánto
Research shows that using Spanish names can be great motivator for students - it allows them to take on a different persona and feel more confident speaking in a new language. I have researched A LOT and compiled a list of almost 300 common Spanish names. One page is girl names, the other is boy names. Clearly these don't cover ALL the possibilities, but it's a great start for my students to find a name unique to them. I hand this out on the first day to get them thinking of something they mig
