This mixed review quadratics "around the room" or "scavenger hunt" includes quadratics with a=1 a > 1 and special cases. This is designed to have students moving around the room and solving 10 factoring examples. There is a student recording sheet as well as an answer key included.

This "around the room" or "scavenger hunt" activity is designed to practice writing equations in slope intercept form from a graph. There are ten problems for students to practice identifying slope and y-intercept and the correct y=mx+b equation. There is a student recording page and an answer key included.

These guided notes come with a skeleton version and a completed version. They are meant as a basic introduction to exponential functions and the general exponential equation.

This lesson is designed to be student discovery based. Students are to graph the basic square root function and write down any observations. They then proceed to graph additional equations using transformations and tables and writing down any new observations. They should connect to previous transformation equations from earlier in the year and be able to relate to the general transformation equation.

This is a mini project for students to research a dream home and calculate monthly mortgage payments using compound interest functions. Students use technology to research a home, sort through valid information, and then apply that to the exponential skills learned in the classroom. This was a mini-project in algebra 1 in the unit of exponential functions.

This matching activity has students match between exponential equations, graphs, verbal descriptions, key features of graphs, and domain and range. The students need to decide what to match each card to based on all of the scenarios. The cards are jumbled on the document so no need to mix them up yourself. Have students cut out the cards and pair them up! This is meant either as unit review or an activity after learning all about exponential functions.

This activity has students use their knowledge of probability to complete activities using dice, coins, color blocks, or playing cards.A rubric is attached as well.
