Master Mathematics

This survey was designed to get to know my students during the first week of school. This would also be great for a first day of school activity. This would be helpful to get a good idea of how each individual student feels about their reading and mathematics ability.

This assignment includes 6 sales tax problems. I ask the students to meet with a different partner each time. Each one has a different mistake that I notice students will make. Students are asked to explain the mistake and then fix the error. On the last page, I ask students to create their own sales tax problem and then have a different partner solve their problem. Then, the students check their answer together.
