This pre-algebra assessment could be used for a pre-test for the first chapter or could be used as pre-test for Pre-Algebra. This assessment includes basic pre-algebra concepts such as; integers, evaluating expressions and graphing coordinates. It includes a constructed response question about temperature at the end.

This exam was created to asses the first three chapters of Glencoe Course 2 Math 7 textbook. The standards that are assessed by this test are integer operations, percent applications and ratio and proportional reasoning. There are 30 multiple choice, 3 constructed response questions and a bonus where students are asked to create their own math problem.

This resource includes three constructed response questions. The first one asks students to place rational numbers on a number line. The second problem is integer operations and the third problem is on scientific notation. There is also a resource included to help students write a great constructed response.

This assessment can be used to assess a unit on Multi-Step Equations. It could also be used for a study guide. The assessment includes, solving multi-step equations, translating equations and writing equations. There is one all-solution equation and one no-solution equation.

This survey was designed to get to know my students during the first week of school. This would also be great for a first day of school activity. This would be helpful to get a good idea of how each individual student feels about their reading and mathematics ability.

This assignment includes 6 sales tax problems. I ask the students to meet with a different partner each time. Each one has a different mistake that I notice students will make. Students are asked to explain the mistake and then fix the error. On the last page, I ask students to create their own sales tax problem and then have a different partner solve their problem. Then, the students check their answer together.

This assessment could be used as a test or pre-test. The assessment includes the four operations with fractions and decimals. There are two pages of word problems as well. It would be a great way to see what students know before starting a rational number unit.
