About the store
I have been teaching middle school math for over 20 years. I have taught all middle school grades in math and science. Currently, I am a math interventionist for 6th, 7th and 8th graders in Michigan. I am enjoying this new role and I am learning how to individualize instruction in new ways. It is extremely rewarding!

Math at Work: Math Meets Homebuilding--Video Questions
This resource includes video questions and vocabulary for a Youtube video on the connection between Homebuilding and Mathematics. Two students work with the Make it Right foundation to see how math is connecting to the renovation of houses in New Orleans. The students are shown how math is connected to the building of solar panels and making a cement walkway in front of the home. This would be a great resource for a substitute for a mathematics class. This resource includes a Google Document

Experience

Teaching style
I teach most of my lessons traditionally and utilize Kagan strategies. I am learning about Building Thinking Classrooms and I am realizing how valuable this strategy is for the middle school grades.
