I have been teaching middle school math for over 20 years. I have taught all middle school grades in math and science. Currently, I am a math interventionist for 6th, 7th and 8th graders in Michigan. I am enjoying this new role and I am learning how to individualize instruction in new ways. It is extremely rewarding!

Slope Lesson 1-8
This lesson is designed to coincide with the Glencoe Course 2 7th Grade Mathematics Curriculum Lesson 1-8. This lesson will help with the basics for slope and connect it with constant rate of change. There is also a graphic organizer designed to help with the vocabulary.

Teaching style
I teach most of my lessons traditionally and utilize Kagan strategies. I am learning about Building Thinking Classrooms and I am realizing how valuable this strategy is for the middle school grades.
