Unit 1. Exponents 1.2 Rational Exponents that show the conversion between a base and a rational exponent (exponential form) and a radical / radicand (radical form). These notes are on a google doc that is editable, KEY is included in title and linked at bottom as well. Used in Math 2 HS class.

Unit 5 is linear forms with lesson 5.2 Students will write equations in point-slope form. Vocab includes going over parallel and perpendicular lines that will help for the following Unit 7 systems of equations. Last 2 problems are spiral review of converting equation into slope-intercept form. These are in google doc that is editable. 3.3 Unit 3 Linearity and Continuity Lesson, this goes over the difference between discrete and continuous graphs and also what is linear and what is non-linear. Students use two different discussions warm up by watching a video from Youtube (LINKED ON THE NOTES!) to define the vocab in their own words. Many examples are given. Unit 9: Data and Stats Updated 9.1 Central Tendencies: mean median and mode Students go over the vocabulary and how to find each average with examples. Notes are scaffolded. Students solve equations with the variable on both sides by identifying the difference between constant terms and a variable term from Unit 1. Unit 2. 2.6 Proportions in HS math class scaffolded fillable notes. Includes a video warm-up where students write what other fractions they saw or can think of that is equivalent. The students count different colored cards to make their ratios/fractions. Then the lesson goes into solving missing numbers by cross multiplication (butterfly method) presented in the key. Unit 2: 2.2/2.3 two lessons within one teaching day for HS students in Math 1. One step equations & Multistep equations fillable notes/ scaffolded with warm up activity of understanding inverse operations to find the unknown value (variables). Students review angle relationships, then go over the types of relationships: complementary. supplementary, linear pair, vertical. Unit 3. 3.3 Factored form of quadratic functions. Students learn how the factored form of quadratic equations gives the solutions, zeroes, x-intercepts or roots of a parabola. They use different types fo factored equations to show 1 solution, 2 solutions. Google doc is editable. Graphic organizer. Fillable notes. KEY INCLUDED linked in title and on bottom of doc. 3.4 Unit 3 Intercepts. Students identify and find intercepts from a graph, equations, and a table. This graphic organizer style / scaffolded notes are used in Math 1 HS class. Unit 5 is linear forms with lesson 5.1 Students will write equations in slope intercept form and graph the equation using fillable scaffolded notes. Students are using the slope formula given two points to find the slope. Then they need to find the b value to put into slope-intercept form. These are in google doc that is editable. Unit 4: Solving Quadratics, 4.2 Solve by square root method. (see 4.1 notes for the previous lesson on factor / graphing). Students use these scaffolded notes / graphic organizers to solve quadratic equations in vertex form by square rooting or the square root method. Unit 3. 3.2 Standard form of a quadratic equation with A value review from 3.1 notes (see Intro to quadratics notes). Students go over how the a value affects the parabola, how to find the vertex in standard form, how to find the y-intercept in standard from, and what this looks like on a graph.
