Students will graph linear equations in Desmos to create a rocket design based on clues and transformations. This is an excellent tool as a introduction into Desmos, and to look at graphing equations in slope intercept form based on clues and transformations.
This hands-on activity always students to compare and organize rational numbers (the clothes) along a number line. The numbers include fractions, decimals, and percents and increase in difficultly throughout the activity.
This activity is a fun engaging way to get your students up and about while working order of operation questions. Students must solve problems to find their seat number. This can also be used to create seating charts for classes. Great for the first day of school and review game!
Students will apply number sense knowledge and percentages to solve real world problems. In this activity students will shop to create a trail mix recipe, and then figure out how many people the trail mix will feed. Activity uses decimals, percentages, and taxes at the seventh grade level. This activity is scaffold with three different options and a challenge extension.
