I currently have 20 years of classroom experience. My certifications include Elementary Education and Special Education. For the past twelve years I have been teaching 6th grade math in a middle school. Before math I taught all core area subjects for sixth, fifth, and fourth grade.

Time to start preparing for the state assessments!! I created these 13 extended response (constructed response) questions for my 6th grade class so they could practice calculating surface area and drawing nets. These questions would also be great for a 7th grade classroom too! I created these questions to look like assessment questions. Teaching style

I love teaching! I use a variety of teaching styles in my classroom including direct instruction, guided instruction, exploration lessons, partnering, cooperative group work, neighbor checks, pair shares, carousel activities, stations, centers, and project based learning. When I create power points or flip charts I intend on writing on them and completing problems and notes together with my class. All of my products are used in my classroom before I post them on TpT.
