This real-world project challenges 7th grade students to apply ratios, unit rates, proportions, and scale in a hands-on, engaging way. Students will take on the role of food truck owners preparing for the Sweet Street Festival. They’ll select a dessert recipe from a given list, calculate a scale factor to serve 75 customers, determine unit prices, apply a price markup, and analyze their total cost, revenue, and profit.
