This set of math practice sheets provides practice with addition of whole numbers, when the sum is within 1,000,000. It is aligned to the 4th grade common core standard 4.NBT.4 (“Fluently add and subtract multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm”).

Teaching style
I prefer to start with student-led explorations into a concept, but close with a more directive teacher-led instruction and guided practice to make sure the concept sticks.
