This is a short activity for practicing integer addition. Students are paired up and draw cards which show money earned or money spent. Each student must track all income and expenses on the bank balance sheet in their “checkbook.”
In order to keep a running total in the bank book, each student must add positive and negative integers. The partner with a higher balance after all ten entries is the winner.

Fraction Operations (Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying & Dividing Fractions and Mixed Numbers) - Golf Game: This is a fun way to work through practice problems with fractions. (Mixed numbers included, but no negatives.) Students "play" each hole on the course (5 hole-worksheet) by pulling a "driver" card, then an "iron" and then as many "putter" cards as necessary to sink the ball (get one right). Each card has a problem with fraction addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division. The g
This is a great activity for practicing adding and subtracting integer addition and subtraction. Students put together matches from cut up rectangles. A "match" is a pair of expressions with the same result when simplified.
This works well as practice, homework, partner work, review, or even as a group quiz. Check out the preview to see how it looks!
