One student sits in the "hot seat" with their back turned to the word. The other students describe the shape using clues such as "It has ___ sides." It has ___ vertices." It looks like a ___." There's 6 slides with shape names and pictures. The last slide includes a fun song to help remember the shape names.
This memory games is an engaging way to match shaded pictures with fraction statements such as "2 out of 6". Teacher will cut cards and laminate. To make the game even better, it's a good idea to copy the pictorial cards on one color cardstock and copy the fraction cards on a different color (this helps make the game quicker). There are 14 cards in all.
This powerpoint includes 8 story problems about two characters. There are 4 addition and 4 subtraction problems, with sums of 10, mixed in. This is a great way to introduce students to the different types of addition and subtraction problems. When I use these story problems, I have students model what is happening with a part-part whole mat.

These 3 "I have, Who has" card games help students to become fluent with adding and subtracting 10 to two-digit numbers. It also helps them to practice representing two digit numbers in various ways. In order to play this game, you will divide students into groups of 9 or less. Each student is given a card to hold.
