This memory games is an engaging way to match shaded pictures with fraction statements such as "2 out of 6". Teacher will cut cards and laminate. To make the game even better, it's a good idea to copy the pictorial cards on one color cardstock and copy the fraction cards on a different color (this helps make the game quicker). There are 14 cards in all.

This powerpoint includes 8 story problems about two characters. There are 4 addition and 4 subtraction problems, with sums of 10, mixed in. This is a great way to introduce students to the different types of addition and subtraction problems. When I use these story problems, I have students model what is happening with a part-part whole mat.
