About the store
I have a strong background in mathematics education. I earned my bachelor's degree from San Diego State University, where I majored in Mathematics with an emphasis in Math Education. Additionally, I completed a fifth-year teacher credentialing program at SDSU. This program was rigorous and enriching; it truly taught me how to be an effective teacher and a lifelong learner. Over the past ten years, I have taught various math subjects, including 7th and 8th grade math, Algebra I, Algebra II, pre-calculus, and AP Calculus. I am enrolled in a master's program focused on math education. I actively seek opportunities to participate in district-level work centered on developing a common curriculum.

Differential Equations Card Sort

Card sorting is a highly effective instructional strategy that fosters active learning, encourages collaboration, and supports differentiated instruction. The provided materials are intentionally designed for flexibility and can be readily adapted to align with a variety of topics within the Differential Equations unit of the AP Calculus AB curriculum.  Below are just a few recommended ways to integrate these resources into your instructional practice: Adjust the number of categories to modify t

Polynomial Functions Circuit

A circuit is an engaging way for students to assess their understanding through self-check because, if done correctly, the activity will end where it began. Students will work with various characteristics of higher-degree polynomials, including their names by degree, end behavior, roots, and multiplicity.

Applying the Quadratic Formula

When first learning the Quadratic Formula, I recommend inserting copies of this template into clear plastic sleeves and have students use fine-point dry-erase markers. Once students are more confident in their skills they can choose to not use the template. I created this template to assist students who are beginning to apply the Quadratic Formula. It helps them learn to use structure in problem-solving. I developed this resource when my students were struggling to approach the formula analytic

Limits and Continuity Infographic for Big Ideas

The infographic provides an engaging summary of key concepts in Limits and Continuity. It includes important theorems, definitions, and rules, such as the essential limit laws for sums, products, and quotients. Additionally, it offers formal definitions of limits and continuity. The graphical representations of removable, jump, and asymptotic discontinuities aid learners in visualizing these concepts effectively.

Factoring Quadratics when a=1 Circuit

Factoring Quadratics When a = 1 This self-checking activity is designed to help students practice factoring quadratics when a = 1. Some of the problems include a greatest common factor (GCF) that will need to be factored out before applying strategies for factoring quadratics when a = 1. Instructions: Students will begin with problem number 1. The answer to this problem will lead them to problem number 2, and so on. The cross-structure provided supports students in building analytical thinking s
