Playing cornhole is a great way to introduce Adding Integers! This Powerpoint lets students review the rules of corn hole then apply them to adding integers. Students will discover the zero pair and the rules of adding integers! Students then will have the opportunity to play corn hole for real! You can do it outside or print off the last slide and let students do it at their desks with the red and yellow integer chips!
Students have a difficult time realizing the - sign means "opposite". I created an interactive matching activity where students will have to find their match. A great way to get students up and moving.
