Teaching style

I believe math class should be active, engaging, and full of discovery. Yes—even in a math classroom, students can experience hands-on learning through experiments, labs, and interactive challenges. I love designing discovery-based lessons that give students the space to explore concepts and build understanding for themselves. Collaboration is also a big part of my classroom. Whether it's through group activities, real-world problem solving, or classroom games, I aim to create opportunities for students to talk, think critically, and learn from one another. Most of all, I want my students to walk away with positive experiences that show math can be exciting, meaningful, and even FUN!!!!

Awards & shining teacher moments

A standout moment in my career was being named Teacher of the Year during my very first year in the classroom. That recognition wasn’t just an award—it was a reflection of the passion, dedication, and connection I strive to bring to my students every day!!!

My own education history

- Bachelor's in Secondary Math Education Composite (Grades 6 - 12) - Certified to teach GT students (Gifted/Talented) - Experience with teaching and tutoring college courses including Calculus 1 & 2, as well as Multivariable Calculus.

Additional biographical information

When I’m not in the classroom or designing math resources, you can usually find me outdoors or trying something creative! I love hiking, fishing, snowboarding, and running—but I also have a passion for weightlifting (I used to compete!), sewing, and cooking up new recipes. If you haven't guessed, I also have an over the top passion for COWS!!!! Don't see what you need?
