This Sequence of Transformations Activity can serve as a performance task for 8th-grade students to apply their cumulative knowledge of Rigid Transformations including Translations, Rotations, and Reflections. Students will create a pre-image of their choosing on the coordinate plane. Students will then create their sequence of transformations and apply each transformation on the coordinate plane. Have students complete this Student Questionnaire during the first week of school so you can obtain a better sense of who they are as a person and as a student in your class. This form can be completed as an in-class assignment or assigned as a homework assignment. Share the assignment with students on Google Classroom (or an equivalent platform) for easy access! Don't forget to attach an excel spreadsheet to collect and organize student responses!
