Performance Task for unit introducing slope and the 3 forms of a line. Students will create a roller coaster with the 4 forms of slope, find the slope of 6 of the lines, write each of those 6 lines in all 3 forms, write the domain of the lines, graph all 6 lines on Desmos with the domain restraints, then write a newspaper story about their roller coaster. This is a great culminating activity or a great test review.
After studying statistics in business and pie graphs, this is great culminating project. Students graph information for the 3rd quarter restaurant sales in the United States, for 2020, the middle of the pandemic. They will graph, research, and think about owning a business during uncertain times.
