Perfect "end of the year" online learning fun activity! Students will create the best paper airplane design. They will compose step by step instructions and a finished product to fly in the test flight competition at the end of the unit. Students can video their flight for online learning.
Concession Stand is a business simulation for grades 8 - 12. Students will open a business and use their math skills to complete order forms, update inventory, pay bills, keep a ledger, and open for days of sale. This project works with higher level Blooms Taxonomy and allows students to work together in groups.

Performance Task for unit introducing slope and the 3 forms of a line. Students will create a roller coaster with the 4 forms of slope, find the slope of 6 of the lines, write each of those 6 lines in all 3 forms, write the domain of the lines, graph all 6 lines on Desmos with the domain restraints, then write a newspaper story about their roller coaster. This is a great culminating activity or a great test review.
Students will be immersed in a case of a stolen piece of art. They will study the evidence and create a case to take to court. Students will take on the role of prosecution or defense and become attorneys in the case. This simulation takes them from the beginning of a case to the end product, a mock trial. Everything that is needed for teacher and students is included.

Criminal Justice - Law, Government, Social Studies
This project begins with students randomly picking a job/career with their monthly income. These are all provided within the file. Then the students begin researching "adult" decisions such as where to live, what car to purchase, how much will incidentals cost. Then the students will create a budget showing how they will pay for their living expenses with their monthly income. Working in small groups (on Zoom) or individually, students will make 10 stops on a Saturday shopping trip with friends. At the different stops they will figure tax, percentage, discounts, central tendencies, unit rate, and probability. This is a great Friday Fun Review!!

Learning about court cases is an important part of Humanities, Social Studies, and Citizenship. This activity involves the investigation and discovery phase of a court case. The presentation contains 2 cases for students to investigate, find witnesses, and decide on questions for witnesses. Student planning, worksheets, and cards are included along with teacher notes and pacing. This is a great activity for collaboration and group work in intermediate and middle grades along with GT students.
After studying statistics in business and pie graphs, this is great culminating project. Students graph information for the 3rd quarter restaurant sales in the United States, for 2020, the middle of the pandemic. They will graph, research, and think about owning a business during uncertain times.

46 Creative Writing prompts to get students engaged and wanting to write! Prompts are in order of the school year and contain holiday prompts along with a set of mystery prompts. What's better than playing cornhole while thinking about key features of quadratics? This lesson is so fun for students and I loved hearing the conversations about vertex and zeros! I asked parents for loaner cornhole boards and we had so many offers. We talked about quadratic key features in class the day before and then began our day with key feature review and key features in context of cornhole.
