15 years upper elementary and junior high math. I don't teach just one concept a day, I teach all math concepts everyday. We add, subtract, multiply, and divide with whole numbers, decimals, and fractions starting from day 1 in my 5th grade classroom. My worksheets produce results!! Also, each one has an electronic ANSWER KEY to pass along to parents to help their child.

This is a 197 PowerPoint file that has many custom animations and sounds that can be used in whole group or small group. I prefer to use this file in small group settings in a computer lab that has Microsoft PowerPoint. Students that are near the same ability level partner up and work on this together. 51 Math Vocabulary Posters Visual Tricks to Help Remember
This is a 51 page file of common elementary and intermediate math vocabulary terms (primarily geometry). Each is the size of 8.5" X 11" for you to print off and post in your room or simply place to a link for kids to study electronically from a website location. Vocabulary is the most important skill (in my opinion) to ways geometry scores because there is so much to remember. Frequent repetition and sight will help one master this rather effortlessly.

Students will have to find the area of the entire lot of land, subtract the area of all objects, find the total area of grass and then determine the cost to fertilize the grass based on how much fertilizer comes in a bag. This is a good multi-step problem in which the final answer depends on previous answers.

This is a 21 PowerPoint slide file (w/answer key at the bottom of each slide when not in slideshow format). Answers also pop up when clicked via custom animation w/sound. This is very rigorous and requires sustained thinking in order to solve each problem. I use the PowerPoint file during whole group instruction to the class as a "bell ringer". Teaching style
Never let the brain stop working. Stimulating the brain is most important. Constant review is always spiraled in lessons everyday. I use these worksheets and Power Points daily and frequently pop quiz to hold students accountable. All students are always randomly called on to keep them honest and engaged 3-4 times per class when whole group instruction is used; independent work time and small group instruction to rep out math problems are critical to do each day. Students are expected to work as the expectations are set high; it can be a culture shock to start the year, but students show great growth.
