About the store
15 years upper elementary and junior high math. I don't teach just one concept a day, I teach all math concepts everyday. We add, subtract, multiply, and divide with whole numbers, decimals, and fractions starting from day 1 in my 5th grade classroom. My worksheets produce results!! Also, each one has an electronic ANSWER KEY to pass along to parents to help their child.

51 Math Vocabulary Posters Visual Tricks to Help Remember
This is a 51 page file of common elementary and intermediate math vocabulary terms (primarily geometry). Each is the size of 8.5" X 11" for you to print off and post in your room or simply place to a link for kids to study electronically from a website location. Vocabulary is the most important skill (in my opinion) to ways geometry scores because there is so much to remember. Frequent repetition and sight will help one master this rather effortlessly.

This is one example of a multi-step AREA word problem in which the previous answer builds into the next problem, similar to any statewide assessment given to kids. Frequent repetition on these types of problems builds confidence for kids to not get freaked out when given a multi-step word problem.

This is a 3 page review worksheet that focuses on test prep; 3 pages are also included of the answer keys for you to post so students can check.
Daily and weekly review is needed to boost students test scores. Constant review not only improves one's working memory, but most importantly boosts students' confidence levels and mental toughness to perform better on standardized assessments (both state and national tests). Your students will score better if you review as often as possible.
4th - 6th
Basic Operations, Geometry, Math Test Prep
Perimeter, Money, Word Problem, Test Prep, Multi-Step
This is one example of a multi-step word problem involving PERIMETER in which the previous answer builds into the next problem, similar to any statewide assessment given to kids. Frequent repetition on these types of problems builds confidence for kids to not get freaked out when given a multi-step word problem. DIVISION is also needed along with some DECIMAL COMPUTATION.

Problem Solving Strategies Poster Visual
This is a poster that I have posted in my room. You can even photocopy this for kids to keep at their desk, at a station, etc. The more kids see this strategies, the more likely they are to pick one and use it. It's really nice to see a word problem be solved by using 3 or 4 of these strategies at once and then you can talk about choosing the one that makes the most since for each student.

Teaching style
Never let the brain stop working. Stimulating the brain is most important. Constant review is always spiraled in lessons everyday. I use these worksheets and Power Points daily and frequently pop quiz to hold students accountable. All students are always randomly called on to keep them honest and engaged 3-4 times per class when whole group instruction is used; independent work time and small group instruction to rep out math problems are critical to do each day. Students are expected to work as the expectations are set high; it can be a culture shock to start the year, but students show great growth.
