I've been in a brick-and-mortar classroom for four years, but I've been teaching for way longer than that.
Before going into traditional teaching, I was an outdoor educator in the bay area. I absolutely LOVED inquiry-based learning - sparking curiosity and wonder, while students built connections and had authentic educational experiences outdoors.
Math was actually one of my weaker subjects (both as a teacher, AND a student!!) until just a couple of years ago.
Now, I strive to spark that same wonder and interest with upper elementary math.
