About the store
I've been in a brick-and-mortar classroom for four years, but I've been teaching for way longer than that. Before going into traditional teaching, I was an outdoor educator in the bay area. I absolutely LOVED inquiry-based learning - sparking curiosity and wonder, while students built connections and had authentic educational experiences outdoors. Math was actually one of my weaker subjects (both as a teacher, AND a student!!) until just a couple of years ago. Now, I strive to spark that same wonder and interest with upper elementary math.

Teaching style

I believe the most effective teachers know that different parts of instruction require various teaching styles. Sometimes, I'm the sage on the stage. At other times, I'm the guide on the side. Towards the end of the year? I'm the teacher cheering from the bleachers.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I was recognized by my district and county for providing a ton of free digital resources for teachers who were new to tech.

My own education history

Bachelor of Leisure Management & Outdoor Education from Northern Arizona University. Teaching certificate from Rio Salado College.
