One Step Equations Multi-Player Game

1-4 Player self-checking game. There are fifteen questions, five one-step equations each with whole numbers, decimals, and fractions. All four operations are represented. The game checks the answers, keeps score, assigns the student's game piece to the questions answered correctly, prevents more than one student from answering the same question, and awards a medal to whichever student is in the lead. Ideal for breakout rooms. Should inspire students to participate in order to receive credit.

Statistical Measures of Center

Mean, median, mode, and range in a 12 question self-checking puzzle with a twist. Formatted in purple and yellow for right and wrong answers to avoid the awkward red/green color-blind limitation. Kid-tested in my own 6th and 7th grade classrooms prior to posting! (Answer Key Included) In this puzzle reveal, correct answers earn the puzzle pieces that can then be assembled by the student. (Great for early finishers.) Finishing up right at the wire is no problem! There is a built-in instant asse

Factoring Trinomials ax^2+bx+c a>1

Factoring Trinomials ax^2+bx+c with a > 1. Three of the ten standard form trinomials have a greatest common factor that needs to be factored out first. One of the ten uses i as the variable to help screen out students using on-line solvers. If that is the only answer the student gets wrong, check for a solver. Both a traditional printable (PDF worksheet) and an excel puzzle reveal are included with this resource. The answer key is also included.

Transformations - Reflection in the Coordinate Plane

Transformation mini-project. Students draw and then reflect one of their initials, beginning in the second quadrant. Includes an I CAN statement and a grading rubric. Both graphical and algebraic reflection is included. I am working on cleaning up variations for the other transformations to make this a bundle if this seems useful to others. The kids love it - since they do always like things better when they are about them. Feedback is greatly appreciated. Mrs. Saraceno's Math
