Experience

Massachusetts is the leading state in teaching mathematics. As a Massachusetts teacher in a hands-on project-based charter school, I decided to post my own lessons to share with others who want more than a pretty worksheet (but I have that too).

Teaching style

Hands-on learning, Rewarding mathematical investigations, and activities that are well organized in a sequence that builds on previous problems. Rigorous problems to get your students critically thinking and teacher guiding questions to help clarify the mathematics and draw connections among different problems.

My own education history

Bachelor's in Mathematics 2nd Bachelor's in Education Masters in teaching Mathematics 2nd Masters in curriculum building

Additional biographical information

I have a degree in mathematics, a second degree in education, and a MAT in Math. I have been teaching in a Massachusetts hands-on project-based charter school for 5 years. We all create our own curriculum from scratch, and I decided to post on TPT. I am also an artist on cape cod, so all my images are original. We fill our school year with sea camp overnights, 5-6 field trips, and seminars every Friday. I don't have time for busy work and achieve high scores on our state assessments. I strive for clean, rigorous rewarding mathematical investigations and activities that are well organized in a sequence that builds on previous problems.
