About the store

I have taught for 6 years in a seventh grade classroom and then 5 years in a 9th grade classroom. I have taught 6th grade through Honors Geometry. I'm currently a math specialist servicing 6th through 8th graders.

I have used this assignment with my students to show them how a bill is calculated when you go out to dinner and to reinforce sales tax, discounts, and tip. We call this the RESTAURANT WEEK PROJECT. It is editable. You can either get menus from a local restaurant or schedule time for your students to go to the computer lab to look up a menu. Have them get into groups (3-4 students).
