Heading into my 6th year teaching at a K-6 elementary school! The past 4 years I have taught 6th grade math teacher and have been a member of our school'a building data team. This year, I will be teaching as a part of a 5th/6h blended team teaching science and math. I have presented at district wide conferences about the use of the data cycle to guide and inform instruction.
A fun activity to help teach, practice and reinforce the commutative and associative properties of addition and multiplication from "Mathematically Speaking". Activity requires students to represent the commutative and associative property kinetically and visually.

Teaching style
A variety of teaching styles are found withing my classroom... Workshop days revolving around the Math Daily 3, small group problem solving/inquiry, direct instruction mini lessons and student lead discussions around vocabulary instruction.
