Mathematically Speaking

Heading into my 6th year teaching at a K-6 elementary school! The past 4 years I have taught 6th grade math teacher and have been a member of our school'a building data team. This year, I will be teaching as a part of a 5th/6h blended team teaching science and math. I have presented at district wide conferences about the use of the data cycle to guide and inform instruction.

A variety of teaching styles are found withing my classroom... Workshop days revolving around the Math Daily 3, small group problem solving/inquiry, direct instruction mini lessons and student lead discussions around vocabulary instruction.

Attended high school in Michigan and Pennsylvania before completing Capital University's (Bexley, ohio) middle childhood education program. Certified 4-9 math and science with my generalist endorsement to teach ELA and social studies 4-6. I also have a minor in mathematics. I completed my masters in school administration at The Ohio State University and have my principal license for the elementary and middle school level.
